Message from the Executive Director
Expanding the vision to make more impact
"It all started in the old commercial city of Aba, then to the 17 LGAs of Abia State and now in Ebonyi State."
Annabelles Bogi Development Initiative (ABDI) was established as a non-governmental organization in year 2000 by a health professional who had the passion to inform young people about HIV/AIDS. She sprawled through many secondary schools in Abia State for 3 years informing them about abstinence and protecting oneself and family members from contracting the infection and other STIs.
From the initiative of one individual, ABDI has grown to become a fully registered non-governmental organization in Nigeria. ABDI in her early strides encountered quite a number of teething challenges, but with resilience and partnership, we have overcome.
Today, we collaborate with Traditional Rulers, community leaders, and international partners to bring sustainable health and development solutions to our people.
